Ogni anno, in gennaio, uno studente del Massachusetts Institute of Technology di Cambridge MA (Boston) affianca i docenti di una disciplina STEM e i docenti di Inglese, approfondendo in Inglese argomenti scientifici.

La scelta della disciplina scientifica dell'anno in corso (18/19) è stata Chimica
in considerazione del centocinquantenario della Tavola periodica, del centenario della Unione Internazionale di Chimica Pura e Applicata (IUPAC) e della candidatura del Torriani a celebrare il ruolo delle donne nella Chimica tramite l'adesione all'evento internazionale "Global Women's Breakfast", che avrà luogo il 12 Febbraio 2019.
